Of
the
order
which
ought

obserued

the
marching
forward
of
a
company
of
souldiers
,
from
the
place
where
they

lodged
.

AS
for
marching
from
the
alodgment
,
from
whence
a
Captaine
with
his
companie
are
in
a
readinesse
to
departe
,
this
order
must
bée
obserued
.
First
,
the
Captaine
must
cause
to
proclaime
,
that
all
such
Souldiers
which
are
entertained
to
serue
vnder
the
Ensigne
and
gouernment
of
such
a
Captaine
,
prepare
themselues
to
be
in
readinesse
,
with
their
armour
and
furniture
the
next
daye
following
in
the
morning
,
which
vsually
is
at
the
dawning
of
the
daye

because
the
companye
maye
march
forward
a
reasonable
iourney
.

a
company
of
souldiers

should
bee
prouided
with
furniture
necessary

the

of

march

of

Towne

lodgement

in
good
order

when
they
are
passed
a
reasonable
space

to
the
Towne

where

are
no
enimies

But
where
the
enimie

expected

placed
either
in
the
Vangarde
or
Reregard
at

discretion
of

Officers

appointed
in

Vangard

alwayes
they

in
their

alwayes

that
one
Squadron

of
Hargubusiers

baggage

by
daily
lot
ought
to
be
appointed
for
that
purpose

officer

hath

charge

the
Squadron

commonly
is

respect

Ensigne
doth

tarry

Souldiers

ought
to

Towne

the
Corselettes
shall

placed
in
the
Vangard
,
with
a
Drumme
player
.
And
if
the
order
be
that
they

the

shall

after
the
third

But
if
the
order
be
by
fiue
and

the

must
be

space

must

appointed

iourney

because
when
they
happen

amonge
enimies

better
willing
through
theyr
former
experience
and
practise

scout

&
the
same
to
chaunge

their

of

they

to
discharge
the
shot

the
