WHeras her Maiestie is giuen to vnderstand , that although shee hath payd and disbursed all maner of chardges and expenses apperteyning to her Maiesties houshold , and the arrearages thereunto belonging , vntill the feast of Saint Michael , which was in the yeere of our Lord 1575 and in the seuenteenth yeere of her Maiesties raigne : And also that although her Maiesty hath payd and disbursed all her houshold chardges since that tyme , sauing a very small remnant of arrearages : that yet notwithstanding some of her good subiects do in diuers places complayne they are vnsatisfyed and vnpayed of such money , as her Maiestie hath disbursed and payd for their satisfaction : Therefore her Maiesties pleasure is , that her sayd subiects should be warned and admonished there by this Proclamation , to this end and purpose , that if any of them doe remaine vnpayde of their due , that hath bene thus wise disbursed by her Maiestie to their vse , that all and euery such person so vnpayed of their due should make their repayre by themselues or their sufficient Deputes , vnto the chiefe Officers of her Maiesties houshold with then sufficient declaration in writing , or their sufficient testimony , what money is owing and vnpayed vnto any such person in this behalfe . And that if any of them shall after this their sayd declaration yet remayne vnsatisfied , such persons shall present their iust complaynt thereof vnto her Maiesties priuy Counsell , to the ende that euery of them may be satisfied , as to equitie and Iustice shall apperteyne .

And if any person shall be either by sicknesse , or by pouertie , not well able to make repaire in person , not by Depute , as afore is sayd , and that in some townes and parishes the seuerall debts may be so small , as the parties will be loth to make a iourney for such small parcels : In such cases the sayd persons shall doe well , to make declaration to some next Iustice of Peace , of the quantitie of the debt , and of the proofe thereof , in what sort , and for what matter the same grew due . And thereupon her Maiestie willeth and requireth the said Iustice , to not●f● the same by his letter either to the head Officers of the houshold , or to some others of her Maiesties priuey Counsell , to thintent that not onely the partie may bee satisfied , but also it may be knowen where the default of payment was .
