FOrasmuch as the Queenes Maiestie our soueraigne Ladie , is credibly enformed , that the infection of the plague is at this present in sundrie places in and about the Citie of London , and in other places neere adioyning to the same , whereas by the continuance thereof , through the greater repaire and resort of her louing Subiects , great perill and danger might not onely ensue vnto her most royall person , but also vnto her most louing subiects , repairing thither for their suites and causes , and thereby also giue occasion of dispersing of the same in other parts of the Realme : Her Maiestie for the said necessary causes and considerations , and hoping that the same will by the goodnesse of Almighty God , with the coldenesse of the yeare , and such wholesome orders as are to bee taken in her saide Citie , the rather cease by the adiournement of part of this next tearme is Saint Michael now at hand , from the vtas of the same , vntill the fourth returne of the said Tearine , called Mensis Michaelis , next comming : Her Maiestie therefore of her especiall fauour & clemencie , is pleased and contented , to adiourne the said tearme of saint Michael , that is to say , from the vtas thereof , vntill the saide fourth returne of the saide tearme , called Mensis Michaelis , next comming . Which her Maiestie signifieth to all and singuler her louing subiects of this her Realme , to the intent , that they , and euery of them , which hath cause or commandement to appeare in any of her highnesse courts at Westminster , in , or at any day or time , from , and after the saide vtas of Saint Michael , may tary at their dwellings , or where their businesse otherwise shall lye , without resorting to an● of the said Courts for that cause , before Mensis Michaelis , next comming , and that without danger forfeiture , penaltie , or contempt , to incurre towardes her Highnesse in that behalfe . And neuerthelesse her Highnes pl●asure is , that two of her Iustices , that is to say , of either bench one , shall the first day of Michaelmas tearme , called O●tabis Michaelis according to the ancient order of her Lawes , keepe the essoines of the saide Octabis Mi●●●●●●● at which vtas of Saint M●chael , writtes of adiournement shal be directed to the saide Iustices , giuing t●●m authoritie to adiourne the saide Tearme of Saint Michael , that is to saye , from the vtas thereof , vnt●ll 〈◇〉 Michaelis , as before is said : And the said adiournement shal be made in the first day of the sa●de vtas , commonly called the day of essoines . And further her Maiesties pleasure is , that all maters causes and suites , depending in any of her other Courts betweene partie and partie , as in her Highnesse Courts of Chauncerie , Starre chamber and Exchequer , Courts of wards and liueries , Duchie of Lancaster , and Courts of Requestes shall haue continuance , and the parties shall haue day from the date of these vnto Mensis Michaelis , as before is said .

Prouided alwayes , and her Maiesties pleasure and commandement is , that all Collectors , Receiuers , Shetiffes , and other accomptants , & all other persons that should or ought to accompt or pay any summe or summes of money in any of her Maiesties court of Exchequer , court of wardes and liueries , or of her Duchie of Lancaster , or many of them , or to enter into any accompt in any of the same courts , shall repaire vnto the accustomed places at Westminster , where her Highnesse hath appointed such officers and ministers , as for that purpose her Maie●●ie 〈◇〉 thought expedient , and there to pay , and doe in euery behalfe , as though no such Proclamation of ad●●●●●●… ment had bene had or made : And her Highnes further pleasure and commandement is , that all Sheriffes 〈◇〉 returne their Writtes and Processe against all such accomptants and debters at the dayes therein appointed , And all other Writtes and processe directed vnto them out of any of the Offices of her Maiesties Remembrancer , or the Treasorers Remembrancer in her Highnes said Court of Exchequer . And if any person or persons who ought to accompt or pay any summe or summes of money to her Maiestie in any the Courts and places aforesaid , do make default therein . That then her Highnesse writtes and Processe shal be awarded , and sent forth against euery such person and persons , and the same to be duely and orderly serued and returned by the Sheriffes and Officers thereunto appointed , in such like maner and forme as the same should haue bene , if this present proclamation had not bene made . And if any Sheriffe or other Officer shall make default , or be negligent in seruing , executing and returning of any the writtes and Processe aforesaid : That then euery such Sher●ffe and other Officer shall incurre such paines and penalties , as by the saide Courts , or any of them shal be taxed and assessed : Willing and commanding all and euery her Maiesties Sheriffes , officers , ministers and subiectes , to whom it doth or shall appertaine , to obserue and keep their assemblies and apparances , with all their returnes and certificats in her Highnesse said Courts at Westminster in Mensis Michaelis nert comming , then and there to be holden and kept , and there to do their offices and dueties in euery behalfe , in like manner and forme as they should or ought to haue done , if this present Proclamation had not bene had or made , as they will answere to the contrary at their perils .
