THE Queenes most excellent Maiestie , vnderstanding by the seueral complaints of diuers her louing Subiects , that certaine lewde and euil disposed persons , pretending vnder coulour of a graunt from her Maiestie , to haue power and authoritie to execute the penaltie of the Statute made for the sowing of Hempe and Flaxe seede , doe go about into diuers partes of this her Highnesse Realme , carying with them duplicats and exemplifications of that part of the Patent only , which doeth concerne that penall Statute , contrary to the purpose , intent , and meaning of our saide Soueraigne Lady set downe in the same graunt , and to the great offence of her Highnesse , the trouble and vexation of her louing Subiects , and abuse of the chiefe Patentees , who pretende no such matter by the same graunt : Doeth of her Highnesse fauour and Princely regard toward the quiet and good of her said louing subiects , straightly charge and commaunde , and hereby also inhibite and forbid all persons whatsoeuer within this her Highnesse Realme , that from hencefoorth they nor any of them , do execute , cause to be executed , or put in execution , any such exemplification , duplicate , or inrollement of the saide graunt or Licence , touching the executing of the penaltie of the said Statute made for the sowing of Hempe and Flaxe-seede , at any time after the date of this her Highnesse Proclamation in any place , or places whatsoeuer of this her Highnesse Realme , vpon paine of her Maiesties high displeasure , and of such further punishment , as by her Highnesse Counsell , or by the lawes of the Realme shal be inflicted and imposed vpon them , or any of them in that behalfe .

And for the better execution of this her Maiesties Proclamation according to her Highnesse will and pleasure in that behalfe : her Maiestie doeth further by these presents , straightly charge and commaund all , and euery Iustices of peace , Maiors , Sheriffes , Bayliffes , Cunstables , Hedboroughs , and all other her Highnesse Officers and Ministers whatsoeuer , to whome in that behalfe it shall or may appertaine , to apprehend , or cause to be apprehended all and euery such person and persons , which shal from henceforth bring or cary about with them any of the sayde Exemplifications , Duplicates or enrolments , to the end to execute the same , or any part thereof , in any Citie , Towne , Borough , Village , Hamlet , or other place or places whatsoeuer , within this her Highnesse Realme , or the Dominion of Wales . And the same person or persons so attached and apprehended , to sende by vnto her Highnesse priuie Counsell , together with the sayd Exemplifications , Duplicates or Enrolments , that thereupon such further order may be taken for the punishment of euery such offender , as the cause shal require .
