sowen

for
the
benefit
of

WHeras
the
said
Adam
Newton
,
Io.
Southcot
and
Io.
Wood
,
haue
through
their
great
charge
,
industry
,
and
experience
deuised
and
inuented
a
new
Inuention
of
Steeping
all
kinde
of
graine
(
that
is
to
be
sowen
)
in
a
certaine
liquour
compounded
of
sundry
materials
of
very
small
value
,
which
euery
Husbandman
hath
,
or
with
little
charge
may
procure
:
the
which
Art
or
Inuention
hath
bene
found
by
many
that
haue
made
triall
of
the
same
,
to
be
very
beneficiall
for
the
increase
of
Corne
and
Graine
,
aswell
in
sparing
of
Soile
,
as
also
in
preseruing
the
Seed
from
birds
,
fowle
and
vermine
,
as
by
Certificate
exhibited
vnto
his
Maiesties
Commissioners
hath
very
clearely
bene
testified

Whereupon

Kings
most
Excellent
Maiestie
hath
bene
pleased
by

Highnesse
Leters
Patents

sealed

England

grant
vnto
the

Adam
Newton

Iohn
Southcot

Wood

Deputies
and
Assignes

sole
vse

exercise
and
benefit
of
the
said
Inuention

prohibited
all
persons

that
none
of
them
doe
attempt
directly
or
indirectly

the
vsing
,
or
practising
of
the
said
Inuention
of
Steeping
of
Seed
corne

Graine

as
is
aforesaid

without
the
speciall
Licence
of
the
said
Patentees
,
vpon
paine
of
forfeiture
thereof
,
with
other
penalties
expressed
in
the
said
Letters
Patents
