THeir Lordships hauing receiued Information from the Commissioners of the Nauie , that through the wilfull negligence of such Seamen , as are entred vpon the Shippes now preparing in the Riuer of Thames for his Maiesties Seruice , the victuals and other prouisions brought vnto them are not taken aboard , whereby the sayd Victuals are in danger to be spoyled by lying in open Lighters , and the Seruice otherwise preiudiced , and delayed ; For redresse of this intolerable abuse and contempt , doe in His Maiesties name , according to His Royall pleasure signified on that behalfe , hereby straitly require all Masters , Pursers , Boatswaines , and Officers of the sayd Shippes to attend aboard at all seasonable times for taking in the said Prouisions , and to cause their Companies to giue like diligent attendance , and to doe their duety in all necessary workes belonging vnto them .

And their Lordships doe further require and charge , in His Maiesties name , all Mariners and Sea-men , prested for his Seruice in any of the sayd Shippes , vpon paine of death , to giue their attendance aboard , and not to absent themselues from their Ships , whilest such necessary workes are performed ; And doe withall require aswell the Commissioners of the Nauie , as all other Officers of the Admiraltie , and all Iustices of Peace , Bailiffes , Constables , and Prest-masters to apprehend , or cause to be apprehended all such Mariners or Sea-faring-men , as being Prest , and receiuing pay in his Maiesties Seruice are found a-shore , or otherwise negligent in performing their due seruices in the said Ships , and to commit them to the next prison to answere their abuses and contempts in the Admiralty Court , or otherwise according to Iustice , and seuerity of the Lawes in that behalfe prouided .
