By the Lords Justices , A PROCLAMATION . Tho. Cantuar. Sommers C. Pembroke C P S. Devonshire , Marlborough , Romney , Orford , Cha. Montague .

WHereas His Majesty by His Royal Proclamation of the Seventh Day of July last , did Declare His Royal Intention to give Directions to the Lord Chancellor , for Issuing out of Writs in due Form of Law for Calling a New Parliament , which should begin and be holden at Westminster on Wednesday the Twenty fourth Day of this Instant August ; And whereas since that time Writs have accordingly Issued Returnable on the said Twenty fourth Day of this Instant August ; We , by the Advice of His Majesties most Honourable Privy Council , for Weighty Reasons Vs thereunto moving , Do hereby Publish and Declare , That the said Parliament shall not upon the said Twenty fourth Day of August Sit for the Dispatch of Business , but shall be then Prorogued to the Twenty seventh Day of September next ; Whereof the Lords Spiritual and Temporal , and Knights , Citizens and Burgesses of the House of Commons , and all others , whom it may Concern , may take Notice : We Letting them know , That the Attendance of any of them on the said Twenty fourth Day of August will not be Expected , but of such who being in and about the Cities of London and Westminster may Attend the Making the said Prorogation , in such manner as heretofore in like Cases has beén Accustomed . And We do hereby further Declare , That convenient Notice shall be given by Proclamation of the Time when the Parliament shall be Holden and Sit for the Dispatch of Business , to the End that the Members of both Houses may Order their Affairs accordingly .
