WHereas by Our Proclamation , bearing Date the Seventeénth Day of March last , We did Declare , That convenient Notice should be given by Proclamation of the Time when Our Parliament should Meét , and Sit for the dispatch of Business , We have therefore ( with the Advice of Our Privy Council ) thought fit to Issue this Our Proclamation , hereby Declaring and Publishing Our Will and Pleasure , That Our Parliament which is now Prorogued to the Four and twentieth Day of this Instant May , shall on the said Day Meét and Sit for the Dispatch of such Weighty and Important Affairs , as may be Requisite for the Safety of this Our Kingdom , in a time when it is Threatned with a Powerful Invasion from Abroad : And We do hereby Charge and Require all the Lords Spiritual and Temporal , and the Knights , Citizens and Burgesses of the House of Commons , accordingly to give their Attendance at Westminster on the said Four and twentieth Day of this Instant May.
