AN ORDINANCE Appointing the EXCISE OF Allum and Copperace .

BEE it Ordeined by His Highness the Lord Protector , with the advice and consent of His Council , That the Commissioners for the Excise and their sub-Commissioners and all Farmers and Officers imployed in the service of the Excise ; Do from and after the nine and twentieth day of September , One thousand six hundred fiftie four , demand and receiv for the duty of Excise , three pence for and upon every hundred weight , conteining five score and twelv pounds of Allum , and no more ; and the same rate for Copperace to bee paid by the maker thereof , the rate in the Ordinance of the seventeenth of March , One thousand six hundred fiftie three , notwithstanding .
