THat considering the many unhappy distractions lately growne in the Church and Common-wealth , through the malicious practice of a Malignant party , labouring to breed Jealousies betweene the King and his People ; we are enforced to expresse in this our humble Declaration , our desires and Resolutions , to spend our lives and estates , in defence of his Majesties Person , the true Protestant Religion , the peace of the Realme , the maintenance of the Rights and Priviledges of Parliament , the Law of the Land , and the lawfull liberty of the Subject according to our late Protestation against all such as shall attempt to separate his Majestie from his great and faithfull Counsell of Parliament , and by that meanes to alienate his Majesties affection from his loyall Subiects , and this our Declaration , we humbly desire your Lordship to Represent from us to the high and Honourable Court of Parliament .
