Shall Oxford in defiance keepe our KING , To make faire London mournfully to sing ? Stand up faire London , thou shalt winne the day , Thou hast beene humbled , thou dost fast and pray . Rowse up thy Spirits , be not discontented , Christ heares thy prayers , he see's thou hast repented : And he in mercie will to thee incline , And fight thy Battells , with His Power divine . Plucke up thy courage , thou shalt prosper well Against malignant Spirits that rebell : For shame lift up thy head , be valiant , stout , Couragious , be to punish Romish Rout. Let not base feare possesse thy valiant heart , Nor daunt thy courage , Christ doth take thy part . HEE will not suffer Oxford to beare sway , Christ mindefull is of London night and day : HEE heares the Prayers of such as sigh and mourne , HEE will our sadnesse into gladnesse turne .
