ACT of COUNCIL , Dispensing with Circuit Courts for this Instant Year 1685. Edinburgh , the 29th day of April 1685.

FOrasmuch as His Majesties high Commissioner , and the Lords of Privy Council , having thought fit ( in regard his Majesties Service doth not now require that Circuit Courts should be held for this year , as is appointed by Act of Parliament ) To dispense therewith ; They , to the effect notice hereof may be given to all persons concerned , Do hereby Ordain the Macers of Council , to pass to the Mercat Cross of Edinburgh , and there , by open Proclamation , make publication that the said Circuit Courts are not to be keeped this year , that none pretend ignorance .
