ACT Of the Committee of His Majesties Privy Council , against the Exporting of the Current Coyn. Edinburgh March 15. 1695.

THe Committee of His Majesties Privy Council , about the Export of Money ; To Macers and Pursevants , these are to Warrand and Command you , to go immediatly to the Mercat-Cross of Edinburgh , and there by sound of Trumpet , and open Proclamation , make Intimation to all Merchants , Factors , Exchangers , or others that may be concerned , and who have put Aboard either by themselves or others , any quantity of Money above what the Law allows , of the Fleet or Ships now presently in the Harbour of Leith , or the Road thereof , or any other Road or Port , to be Transported forth of this Kingdom , whether in Gold or Silver ; that they immediatly bring the same a Shoar , to remain within this Kingdom , with Certification that if they fail therein , they shall be called particularly before the Lords of His Majesties Privy Council , as unlawful Transporters of Money : and the same being proven either by Oath of Party , or otherways ; they shall be punished conform to the Acts of Parliament , with all rigour . And Ordains these Presents to be printed .
