PROCLAMATION , For Adjourning the Parliament to the Twenty fifth Day of October next , 1694. WILLIAM and MARY by the Grace of GOD , King and Queen of Great-Britain , France and Ireland , Defenders of the Faith ; To Our Lyon King at Arms , and his Brethren Heraulds , Macers of Our Privy Council , Pursevants , Messengers at Arms , Our Sheriffs in that part , conjunctly and severally , specially constitute , Greeting :

Forasmuch as , We by Our Proclamation of the date the Twelfth Day of March last , with Advice of the Lords of Our Privy Council , Did Adjourn the current Parliament of this Our Antient Kingdom , until the fifteenth Day of June then next to come , now last by-past ; And Our Affairs not requiring the Meeting thereof at that time , We thought fit , by Our Letter of the Thirty first of May last , to continue the said Adjournment until the sixth Day of September next ; which Letter being lost in its passage to England , Our Pleasure concerning the said Adjournment , was not known , whereupon the Lords of Our Privy Council , by their Act , of the date the fourteenth day of June last , Caused Intimation to be made , That all Members of Parliament should be ready to meet and attend in this Our Current Parliament , so soon as Our Will and Pleasure should be signified to them for that effect : Which Act and Intimation , We not only Confirm and Approve of ; But likeways with Advice of the Lords of Our Privy Council , hereby Adjourn Our said Current Parliament , until the Twenty fifth Day of October next ensuing the date hereof ; Requiring all the Members of Our said Parliament to attend that Day , in the usual way , and under the Certifications contained in the several Acts of Parliament , made thereanent . OUR WILL IS HEREFORE , And We Charge you strictly and Command , That incontinent these Our Letters seen , ye pass to the Mercat-Cross of Edinburgh , and to the Mercat-Crosses of the remanent Head-Burghs of the several Shires of this Our Antient Kingdom , and there , by open Proclamation , make Intimation , That Our said Parliament of this Kingdom is Adjourned to the said Twenty fifth Day of October next to come . And Ordains these Presents to be Printed .
