HIS Majesties High Commissioner , and the Lords of His Majesties Privy Council , Taking to their Consideration , that by the late Revolution of the Government of this Kingdom , the usual and ordinary way and method in Issuing out of Precepts from the Ch●ncery for bringing in of His Majesties Rents and Duties to His Exchequer , this present Year hath been delayed ; and lest thereby such as are lyable in payment thereof , may think themselves not obliged to make their appearance in Exchequer , as formerly , they have been in use to ●o for paying in of the Rents and Duties , due and payable by them to His Majesty ; Therefore the Lord High Commissioner his Grace , and the Lords of His Majesties Privy Council , Do hereby strictly Command and Charge , all and sundry , Heretors , Liferenters , Feua●s , Fermorers , Blensh-holders , Tennents , Tack●-men , Sheriffs , Stewarts , Baillies of Regalities , Mag●strats of Burghs , Chamberlains , Customers , and others whatsomever lyable in payment of the saids Rents and Duties , al●e well Casual as Real , to Compear by themselves , or by others in their Names , at Edindurgh , in the Month of July ensuing , upon the usual and ordinary Days thereof , appointed for their appearance , and Compting in Exch●quer , and then , and there to make Compt , Reckoning , and Payment according to the Fiars of the respective Shires , to Sir Patrick Murray the Receiver-General of His Majesties Rents , of the Feu and Blensh-duties , Retoured Duties and others , due and in use to be payed by them ; and that not only of this present year , but also of what is resting , owing , unpayed by them , of all Years and Terms before , and to fit and make their Equees thereupon accordingly , which being Signed by the said Sir Patrick Murray , and the Clerk of the Thesaury , shall be a sufficient Equee and Exoneration to the Accomptants : Certifying all such who shall not appear at the t●mes and place abovementioned , to the Effect above-specified , they sh●ll ●elyable unto , and incur the Penalties contained in the respective Act● of Parliament , made against the Non-accomptants , and shall be prosecute therefore accordingly . And that none may pretend Ignorance , Ordains these Presents to be Published at the Mercat-Cross of Edinburgh , and at the Mercat-Crosses of the respective Head-Burghs of this Kingdom , by Macers , and Messengers at Arms , in the usual and ordinary manner .
