WHEREAS there have risen of late several Differences between the Company of Stationers , London , And Edward Atkyns , Esquire , To whom His Majesty hath Granted the Sole Priviledge of Printing Common-Law-Books , The Benefit whereof is Endeavoured to be prevented , by Entring the Copies of such Books with the Register of the Company of Stationers , whereby a private Property is pretended to be gained , It was this Day Ordered by His Majestie in Councel , That no Book Treating of or Concerning the Common-Law be hereafter Entred in the Register of the Company of Stationers , So as thereby to gain to them a Property in such Books . But that the Printing thereof be Solely reserved to him the said Edward Atkins and his Assigns , During the Continuation of his Patent . Whereof the Master , Wardens , and Company of Stationers , and all and every the Members thereof are hereby Required to take Notice , and give Obedience thereunto .
