BY THE LORDS-JUSTICES Of IRELAND , A PROCLAMATION . SYDNEY , THO : CONINGESBY

WHereas by Our Proclamation of the Nineteenth of November last , We did Declare , we would not give Protection to any Person who hath a Son in the Enemies Quarters , unless before the Tenth of this Instant December , such Son should return to Their Majesties Obedience , and live peaceably within that part of this Kingdom under Their Majesties Power ; which Son so returning with his Arms and Cattle , we promised should have Their Majesties Protection . And whereas humble Application hath been made to vs the Lords-Iustices by several Papists ( who now live happily and peaceably within Their Majesties Quarters , and enjoy the Blessings of Their Gracious Protection , whose Sons are still in Actual Rebellion ) that the time limited by the said Proclamation is so short they could not send to bring back their several Sons , pursuant thereunto ; and thereupon have humbly desired that the said time might be enlarged . We the Lords-Iustices , taking the same into our Consideration , and being willing rather to use all-Acts of Lenity and Mercy for the reduction of Their Majesties Stuborn and Disobedient Subjects to their Duty , then Rigour ; And that the said Persons may be left wholly without excuse , have thought fit , and do hereby Declare , that if any Person or Persons , who hath or have a Son or Sons in the Enemies Quarters , shall on or before the Tenth Day of January next ensuing , cause such Son or Sons to return unto Their Majesties Obedience , and submit him or themselves unto Their Majesties Government ; that such Son or Sons so returning with his or their Arms and Cattle , shall have Their Majesties Protection ; And in the mean time , We hereby strictly Charge and Require , that the Parent or Parents of such Son or Sons shall not be molested or prejudiced in any sort , notwithstanding Our Proclamation aforesaid .
