IT having been observed , that although their Majesties Army have been so long in the Field , and so near the Enemy , that it may reasonably be expected they will soon be upon action , yet several Soldiers in neglect of their Duties , doe continue in this City , and Quarter themselves on the Inhabitants thereof , without authority , to the great hinderance of their Majesties service , and prejudice of the said Inhabitants . We doe therefore hereby publish and declare , That if any souldier of their Majesties Army , shall after the eight and twentieth day of this instant Month of June , be found within this City , or the Liberties thereof , or within the Liberties of St. Sepulchers , Thomas-Court or Donore , without a License from his Officer , he shall be lookt upon as a Deserter , and suffer accordingly . And if any Soldier of their Majesties said Army , shall take up his or their Quarters upon any Inhabitants of the City or Liberties aforesaid , on any pretence whatsoever , without a particular Order from vs for that purpose , or if any Inhabitant of this City shall receive any such Souldier , without such order from vs as aforesaid , the person or persons of both sorts so offending , shall be deémed persons contemning their Majesties Royal Authority , and as such prosecuted accordingly , with the utmost severity of Law . And if there shall be any sick or wounded Souldiers quartered in any of the Houses within the City or Liberties aforesaid , upon notice given of them to vs , we will give order that they shall be taken into and provided for in their Majesties Hospital until their recovery , and that it may be fit to send them to their several Regiments whereunto they belong .
