WHereas the King by his several Declarations , since his Accession to the Crown , had promised to protect the Protestant Religion ; which Repeated Promises ( it 's believ'd ) he had more exactly perform'd , had he not been otherwise drawn aside by Evil Councellors .

His Highness the Prince of Orange , for his Zeal to protect the Protestan● Interest ; having detected their Secret Contrivances , came with timely aid to our Relief ; with no other intent , then to settle the Establish'd Church and Law● of the Realm . This his Highness found could not be effected , but by bringing to condign Punishment , the Authors of the Kingdoms Ruin : The Persons principally aim'd at , as Instruments of this great Mischief , and demanded to give satisfaction to the Law , are these that follow :
